If you have to treat your man like a child and infringe on his constitutional rights, I think you need to dump him. If you have a partner that you have to work to keep him from hurting you, I think that's really sad. Do you see what you are asking? You aren't his mother or babysitter.

We haven't discussed since because he has finals. Tomorrow we will discuss. He was initially concerned about dating me because I wasn't Canadian and he wants to end up there, but I told him if we get serious (in the distant future) I'd be open to going with him. Somethings have changed since we had an intial discussion a few weeks ago - he signed off of the dating website we met on and he became more positive about us.

I stopped worrying if I would grow old alone or not...and instead look to live a fulfilling life. I'd read more, travel, continue my love of art, learned to cook, and even took up Photography. I stopped making my life about "finding someone". I'd work harder to grow in my career, and I'd take on new hobbies that expanded my mind.
